PARKERSBURG, W.Va.-(WTAP) An auto manufacturer teams up with WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center to bring hope to cancer patients.
Louis Thomas Subaru presented the hospital Thursday with comfort items like blankets and craft kits for cancer patients and their families.
It’s all part of a project Subaru of American and its dealers participate in nationally with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society”.
“The whole idea of this is to reach out and show people undergoing cancer treatment that somebody cares,” said Lou Thomas, President of Louis Thomas Subaru. “So we have blankets, arts and crafts kits for children, just to try to let people know somebody’s thinking about them.”
80 blankets and 30 art kits were donated to the hospital’s Comprehensive Cancer Center.
This is the fourth year for the program in our area.
