Welcome to WVATDA

Our Mission

The mission of the West Virginia Automobile & Truck Dealers Association is to encourage sound business policies, facilitate the exchange of ideas among our members, foster progressive legislation, discourage destructive, retrogressive legislation, cooperate with other motor vehicle trade associations, and promote confidence, respect, and good fellowship among all of those directly or indirectly engaged in the motor vehicle industry.

Who We Are

West Virginia Automobile & Truck Dealers Association is a non-profit, voluntary membership organization. WVADTA membership includes over 200 of the franchised car and truck dealers in West Virginia and have a huge, positive impact on the state's economy.

In 2004, West Virginia's franchised motor vehicle dealers employed 6,900 employees (an average of 39 employees per dealership). Also in 2004, total franchise dealership sales amounted to 3.6 billion dollars (19.2%) of total retail sales in the state.

WVATDA also offers a full range of member services, benefits and protections.

 

Change in West Virginia Minimum Wage

Increase in Minimum Wage
West Virginia follows the Federal Minimum Wage and Hour laws. There will be an incremental increase in the federal minimum wage as follows:

  • July 24, 2007 to $5.85
  • July 24, 2008 to $6.55
  • July 24, 2009 to $7.25
